Foz do Iguaçu, PR – A balanced diet’s crucial role in bolstering animal immunity and controlling pathogens will be a key focus at the Intelligent Nutrition Symposium for Intestinal Health and Maximum Animal Performance, hosted by the Foundation for the Support of Animal Science and Technology (FACTA) on November 12 and 13, 2025, at the Interludium Hotel in Foz do iguaçu, Brazil.
The symposium will explore immunonutrition – the application of specific nutrients to enhance animal health and quality of life, with a particular emphasis on intestinal wellbeing.Breno Castello Branco Beirão, a veterinarian and professor of immunology at the federal University of Paraná (UFPR), will lead a conference on November 13th detailing how vitamins, minerals, proteins, and probiotics contribute to stronger natural barriers and increased production of defense cells.
“When we add certain components to the diet, we manage to strengthen immunity, improve intestinal integrity and, consequently, contribute to the general well-being of these animals,” explained Beirão. “The engaging thing is that, with small nutritional interventions, it is indeed possible to achieve quite notable and lasting results.”
FACTA, a non-profit institution founded in 1989, promotes and disseminates knowledge and technologies applicable to animal production.
