CAIRO – Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of Egypt’s Syndicate of Representative Professions, issued a stern warning on 2025/08/15 against individuals fraudulently using the name of the popular television series “Choose 4” to scam aspiring actors. The syndicate is prepared to pursue legal action against those exploiting the show’s recognition for financial gain.
The warning comes as reports surface of deceptive solicitations targeting young artists and hopefuls seeking entry into the entertainment industry. These schemes involve requests for money in exchange for purported opportunities to participate in the series, a tactic the syndicate condemns as “completely disgraceful.” The issue underscores the vulnerability of emerging talent to exploitation and the need for vigilance within the Egyptian film and television sector.
According to a statement released by the syndicate’s media office, no person or entity has been authorized to conduct nominations or auditions related to the series. Synergy, the production company behind “Choose 4,” has confirmed it has no affiliation with the fraudulent advertisements or casting calls circulating online and through phone solicitations, relying solely on its official pages for announcements.
Dr. Zaki and the Board of Directors are urging artists and amateurs to disregard these false claims and to immediatly report any instances of attempted fraud or extortion linked to “Choose 4.” The syndicate pledged to take “strict legal measures” against anyone misusing the series’ name or the syndicate’s authority.
