Title: Afghan House Hit: Verification of Pakistan Air Strike Claim

Pakistan’s ⁣military has denied taliban ⁣claims​ of conducting air strikes in Afghanistan,deeming the allegations‍ “baseless ‍and factually⁣ incorrect.” BBC Verify has ‌been investigating claims made by taliban spokesman‌ Zabihullah Mujahid regarding attacks ‍in Khost, Paktika, and Kunar provinces – areas‍ bordering Pakistan.

The Taliban⁤ reports at​ least 10 people, including nine ⁣children,‌ were killed​ in an attack within Khost province. Evidence gathered⁢ by BBC⁤ Verify, including photos and​ videos ‍circulating on social media purportedly ​from Asadabad in Kunar province,‌ depicts a severely ⁢damaged house ⁢with significant structural destruction. Thru collaboration with BBC Afghan and utilizing a map from the UN’s OCHA agency, the ⁤location was pinpointed near Kunar⁣ Prison in the Sagi area. Verification was further aided by an Afghan colleague familiar with the region​ and analysis from Afghan⁣ Witness,a project of the ⁤Centre​ for Facts Resilience,matching ⁣building⁤ structures and ‍topography with​ google satellite imagery.
