FSU Baseball Unveils Challenging 2026 Schedule
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Florida State University baseball has announced its full schedule for the 2026 season, featuring a demanding slate of opponents including several teams that reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The announcement comes as the Seminoles build momentum following a accomplished 2025 campaign that saw them make an NCAA Tournament appearance – a first since 2015-17 – and finish as runners-up in the ACC, their best league finish in 11 years.
The season kicks off February 13 with a three-game series against James Madison at Dick Howser Stadium, a rematch of their opening series from the previous year. FSU will then travel to Jacksonville to face the Dolphins on February 17, followed by a trip to the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field to compete against Michigan, Auburn, and Nebraska. Notably, both Auburn and Nebraska participated in the 2025 postseason, with Auburn reaching a Super Regional and Nebraska a Regional.
February continues with a nine-game homestand, beginning with North Florida on February 25 and a series against The Citadel (February 27-March 1). Jacksonville and Mercer will then visit Tallahassee on March 3 and 4, respectively, before Northern Kentucky completes the homestand from March 6-8.
The rivalry with Florida will be renewed on March 10 in Gainesville, and ACC play begins shortly after with a road series at Wake Forest from March 13-15. Both the Gators and Demon Deacons made Regional appearances in 2025. A March 17 home game against Bethune-Cookman will be a rematch of the 2025 NCAA Tallahassee Regional. NC State, another 2025 Regional team, will visit Howser Stadium from March 20-22.
The annual FSU-UF contest will again be held at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville on March 24, home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. A home series against Duke (March 27-29), a 2025 Super Regional participant, and a midweek game at Stetson (March 31), a 2025 Regional team, follow.
April sees the Seminoles travel to Virginia (April 2-4) and host a single game against Florida on April 7,before heading to Atlanta to face reigning ACC regular-season champions Georgia Tech (April 10-12). Stetson returns to Tallahassee on April 14, followed by a home series against Notre Dame (April 17-19). A game at North Florida on April 21 precedes a trip to Stanford (April 24-26) for the first ACC matchup between the two programs.
The Seminoles will then host USF on April 29, followed by a series against Pitt (May 1-3) and Jacksonville (May 5). The regular season concludes with road series at Clemson (May 8-10) and a home series against Miami (May 14-16), both of whom reached the 2025 postseason - clemson hosting a Regional and Miami reaching a super Regional.
