CWPA Announces Revised 2025 Men’s collegiate Club Texas Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has released an updated schedule for the 2025 Men’s Collegiate Club Texas Division, adjusting for a team withdrawal and a potential addition. The changes impact competition format and seeding criteria for the division championship.
Baylor University’s decision to not compete in 2025 has led to a revised divisional lineup consisting of Louisiana State university, Rice University, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Texas State University, Texas Tech University, the University of North Texas, the University of Texas ”A”, and the University of Texas “B”. The University of Houston is considering joining the division, with a decision expected on Monday, September 29, which will further influence the regular season and championship schedules.
A recent competition weekend at Texas Tech in lubbock,Texas,on september 27-28,featured a reworked schedule of 10 games – six league contests and four exhibition matches. Texas tech fielded both “A” and ”B” teams, with games involving the “B” team designated as exhibitions and excluded from league standings calculations.
Due to the varying number of games each team will play, championship seeding will be determined by win/loss percentage. Tiebreakers will first consider head-to-head results, then the number of games played, and finally goal differential against higher-seeded opponents.
