Three Unique Dance Productions Hit Wollongong Stage

Contemporary Dance at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre
The performance series begins with Tracker, a production by the Australian Dance Theatre. This work explores the life and legacy of Tracker Tilmouth, an Indigenous activist and leader. The choreography, led by artistic director Daniel Riley, integrates traditional storytelling with contemporary movement to examine themes of land rights and political advocacy. The production is slated for the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, serving as a focal point for the company’s commitment to hosting works that engage with Australian history.
Cultural Exchange and Physical Theatre
Alongside Tracker, the program includes Savage, a project from the physical theatre company Force Majeure. Directed by Danielle Micich, Savage utilizes a large ensemble cast to explore human behavior and social dynamics.
