Hull Roars with Prehistoric Fun: Thousands Attend Dino Day Extravaganza
Families Revel in Free Entertainment Amidst Economic Challenges
Hull’s city centre buzzed with excitement as families flocked to a dinosaur-themed celebration, offering a welcome escape and free entertainment. The event drew massive crowds, with estimates placing attendance between 8,000 and 9,000 people.
Dino Day Delights
Organised by Hull BID, the event featured a captivating array of attractions. Children were thrilled by lifelike puppet displays of a raptor, a dilophosaurus, and a parasaurolophus roaming the streets. Complementing the prehistoric spectacle were free face-painting sessions, an engaging “super sleuth” trail, and a creative colouring competition.
Laura, attending with her three children, Amelia (10), Harrison (6), and Christopher (7), praised the initiative. She highlighted the importance of such events, particularly given current economic pressures.
“It’s a really awesome idea and it’s been brilliant. With the cost of living nowadays, it’s really nice. I think it’s wonderful they’ve put this event on for everybody to take part in.”
