Children aged 7 to 10 years old should have 24 grams (5 11-year-old children can eat 30 g of sugar per day (six teaspoons). Since one candy weighs 13-15 g of which 8-12 is sugar, young children can eat two and children of ages 7-10 2-3 pieces, and for older children, 3 pieces, which is the maximum allowed.
