Thiel College Men’s Basketball head coach Trey Austin unveiled the team’s 2026-27 schedule on Oct. 15, featuring 10 games on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium in Greenville, Pennsylvania. The slate includes nine non-conference matchups and 16 Presidents’ Athletic Conference battles as the program enters a new era.
Tomcats Open 2026-27 Campaign with Non-Conference Tests
The Tomcats open the 2026-27 campaign on Nov. 6 against UW Platteville at Carthage, followed by a non-conference matchup at Carthage on Nov. 7. The home opener on Maenpa Court arrives Nov. 9 against George Fox. The schedule places early pressure on a youthful roster designed to test the squad before conference play begins.
Conference Play Begins Nov. 24 with January Homestand
Conference play tips off Nov. 24 when Thiel hosts Westminster. The schedule deepens in January with a three-game homestand running from Jan. 9 through Jan. 16, featuring home contests against Waynesburg on Jan. 9, Geneva on Jan. 13, and Bethany on Jan. 16. The regular-season schedule concludes Feb. 20 against Hiram, leading directly into the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship Tournament scheduled for Feb. 23 through Feb. 27.
Roster Retooling Under a New Coach
Austin takes charge for his first season with a roster featuring five incoming transfers and four freshmen. Nine players return, including those who saw significant action during the previous season: John DiCecco of Indianapolis, Indiana, Khamari Accursio-Harris of Jupiter, Florida, Das Sanders of Dallas, Texas, Adrian Llamo of Naples, Florida, and Kadenne Kemp of Inglewood, California. Austin plans to implement an up-and-down, fast-paced style of play distinct within the conference.
I’m excited to get my first season underway and see what this group can accomplish,
Austin said. We have a great group of guys who are eager to learn, compete and put in the work necessary to move this program forward.
