Fuel Prices Surge at Indonesian Gas Stations

Non-subsidized fuel costs climb across Jakarta metropolitan area as providers adjust pricing.

Indonesian motorists are facing higher costs at the pump as fuel providers such as **PT Pertamina**, **Shell Indonesia**, **BP-AKR**, and **PT Vivo Energy Indonesia** have increased prices for non-subsidized fuel products, effective July 1, 2025.

Pertamina’s Price Adjustments

**Pertamina** raised the price of Pertamax (RON 92) in the Jakarta region to Rp 12,500 per liter, up from Rp 12,100 in June. Pertamax Turbo also saw an increase to Rp 13,500 per liter from Rp 13,050.

Pertamax Green (RON 95) is now priced at Rp 13,250 per liter, a rise from Rp 12,800. Dexlite (CN 51) also experienced a price hike, reaching Rp 13,320 per liter from Rp 12,740.

Pertamina Dex (CN 53) increased to Rp 13,650 per liter from Rp 13,200. Prices for subsidized fuels, Pertalite and Solar, remain unchanged at Rp 10,000 and Rp 6,800 per liter, respectively.

Shell’s Price Increases

Shell gas stations also adjusted their prices. Shell Super, comparable to Pertamax, now costs Rp 12,810 per liter, up from Rp 12,370 in June 2025, according to Shell’s official website.

The price of Shell V-Power increased from Rp 12,840 to Rp 13,300 per liter. Shell V-Power Diesel and Shell V-Power Nitro+ also saw price increases on July 1, 2025.

Other Gas Station Prices

BP-Akr gas stations now list BP Ultimate at Rp 13,300 per liter, BP 92 at Rp 12,600 per liter, and BP Ultimate Diesel at Rp 13,800 per liter.

Vivo gas stations list Revvo 90 at Rp 12,730 per liter, Revvo 92 at Rp 12,810 per liter, Revvo 95 at Rp 13,300 per liter, and Diesel Primus Plus at Rp 13,800 per liter.

Impact of Rising Fuel Costs

According to a recent report, rising fuel costs can disproportionately affect low-income households, potentially increasing poverty rates by up to 0.5% (IMF Working Paper, 2023).
