The Atlantic has released its curated list of summer reading recommendations, featuring a diverse selection of fiction and nonfiction titles chosen by its writers and editors to suit various moods.
Along with the summer reading guide, the publication also highlights a book that has resonated widely among its staff, with multiple contributors repeatedly recommending it.
The Atlantic’s Culture Desk compiled these selections, aiming to provide readers with engaging material for the warmer months.
Separately, the publication is also featuring reader-submitted photos that evoke a sense of awe. One such submission comes from Tim Tumlin of Darien, Illinois, who shared a photograph taken in July 2016 from Rifugio Lagazuoi in the Italian Dolomites. Tumlin described the experience of witnessing the “silent overwhelming beauty” at the 9,000-foot elevation, stating it made the previous day’s climb exceptionally rewarding.
The Atlantic plans to continue showcasing reader submissions in upcoming features.
