Lidl Slashes Electric Bike Prices by 25%
Massive Discount on Crivit Peak 709 Mountain Bike
Supermarket giant Lidl is currently offering a significant 25% discount on its entire range of electric bikes, including popular urban and mountain models. The promotion presents a compelling opportunity for consumers to acquire e-bikes at a substantially reduced price.
Crivit Peak 709: A Feature-Rich E-MTB
The highlight of the sale is the Crivit Peak 709, a mountain e-bike that normally retails for 44,999 CZK. With the application of the discount code ‘Electrocol25’ at checkout, the price drops to an attractive 33,749 CZK. This model is available in frame sizes M (27.5″ wheels) and L/XL (29″ wheels).
Constructed with an aluminum alloy frame, the Crivit Peak 709 is equipped with an SR SUNTOUR XCM34 suspension fork and Shimano components. It features a central Mivice X700 electric motor, a Chinese brand known for its powerful 250W output and an impressive 100 Nm of torque, exceeding that of many Bosch or Shimano equivalents.
The motor’s performance is dynamically managed through a wattmeter integrated into the pedals, offering three levels of pedal assistance. This setup is designed to provide enhanced support, particularly when climbing hills.
Battery and User Experience
The e-bike boasts a 709 Wh battery, promising an operational range of up to 100 km. However, the Crivit Peak 709 lacks an integrated display for battery status or range, and it does not support mobile application connectivity. A notable inconvenience is that the battery must be removed from the frame for charging.
Expert Review and Considerations
Early testing by enthusiast David “Trail Hunter” Polesný has yielded positive feedback, particularly for recreational riders engaging with less challenging terrain. He lauded the comfortable ride quality and the robust design.
“He appreciates a pleasant ride and quality design.”

Despite the praise, the reviewer pointed out a slightly noisy motor and a lack of included accessories. The bike features only one standard mounting point for a bottle cage. Lidl employs a Fidlock magnetic system for accessories, which is functional but necessitates the purchase of compatible water bottles.
In the UK, the e-bike market is growing rapidly. By the end of 2023, it’s estimated that over 1.5 million e-bikes were in use across the country, reflecting a growing consumer interest in electric cycling (CyclingIndustry.news 2023).
