The Kill (Acoustic) & Demo Release | Thirty Seconds to Mars
The Kill has released a new acoustic version of its song alongside the debut of a previously unreleased 1985 demo, the band announced today via YouTube.
The newly released demo, titled “Vice Kills,” features three tracks: “Kill or Be Killed,” “Metal Messiah,” and “Ready to Fire.” The demo dates back to 1984 and originates from New York, USA, according to information accompanying the YouTube upload. The song “Kill or Be Killed” was also featured on the 1987 compilation album, Speed Metal Hell Vol. 3, released by New Renaissance Records.
The band, which has released several albums and EPs since its formation, including The Soundtrack to Your Violence (2003) and Kill Them…All (2015), also has a 2001 demo release listed on Discogs. Further releases include the 2003 Demo Release on vinyl, and EPs such as Shower of Bricks (2011) and Speed Freak Killer (2015). The 2001 demo, titled The Kill, features ten tracks: “This One Hurts,” “We Seek Blood,” “The Clash,” “Junkies Records,” “Fasion Victims,” “Let’s Be Fast,” “Techno Head,” “Media Love Misery,” “Stupid Pants,” “Extreme Wankers,” and “Oh My God.” That demo featured Jay on drums, Roby on guitars, and Neil on vocals, with recording handled by Paul Morris at Sublime Studios.
The band’s discography also includes a live EP, Blast Beat’n the Shit Outta PBS (Live to Air), from December 2009.
