The proof of this is that Rahat had shared this lion on social media to honor the bravery of Wing Commander Abhinandan. Wing Commander Abhinandan was taken captive from Pakistan occupied area. However, after pressure from India, he had to leave the brave Abhinandan. In honor of the same greeting, Rahat Saheb had shared this lion-

Rahat Indori became very popular as a poet. In almost all parts of the world, wherever there are people who listen, understand or like Urdu, fans of Rahat Indori will also be found there. He read mushairas almost all over the world. His presence in Mushairas was a guarantee of success. His predictions used to be such that the audience used to wait with bated breath for his lions. Rahat also used to say very politely – “Listen carefully, don’t know when a precious lion will come.”
Many critics of Rahat Indori and especially traditionalists used to criticize him for his style of reading. But the manner of his payment was very special for his fans. His attachment to his words and commitment to say used to come on the stage through this style.
series of meetings
I (the author) met Rahat Indori during my job in Sahara TV. One such Mushaira was organized in Sahara TV, in which almost all the famous poets of the country participated live due to satellite connectivity. Had a conversation with Rahat Saheb in the same program and he invited him to come to his Mushaira to be held in Delhi after some time. After Mushaira, Rahat Indori had made proper arrangements and the meeting was held till almost morning. The special thing in this whole meeting was that Rahat did not narrate his story. In the conversation, he did not even mention such lions, which are very mysterious and incomprehensible. It was his greatness that he used to remember any old sher of a master poet when necessary.

Then the series of meetings started. If he had come to Delhi, he would have definitely remembered and if there was an opportunity, then on the evening before Mushaira, most of the time where he would have stayed, there would have been a round of eating and drinking. If there was a writer younger than Rahat Indori in the gathering, he would have said – “If you have written something new, then tell it.” Indori used to shy away from reciting his creation.
Rahat Indori came to the station to take food ‘furnishings’
Once when he went to Ujjain, while leaving Indore, he called – Rahat Saheb, while returning, I will mark attendance at your place. There are three-four other companions with me. Very happy. Said – “Come, it will be fun”. It so happened that the night had to be spent in Ujjain itself and return by evening train. Called Rahat Saheb to apologize that I will be present next time. Rahat Sahib said, “No problem. I’ll meet you at the station.”
On reaching the station, I saw that Rahat Saheb had not only reached the station, but had also found out in which compartment we were. In his hand was a lot of packed food, salty and rasaranjana from the best hotels of Indore. He gave all the things with great love. Kept talking for a long time. Our companions enjoyed the food and “Digar Asbab” given by Rahat Sahab on the way and gave him blessings. It was really big for me. I could not even imagine that a great poet like Rahat could give so much respect to a journalist like me. In fact, this was his beggarly style.
taking the respect of others as one’s own
Once upon a time there was a feast for Rahat Indori sahib at a high official’s place. By giving orders, he called me and another friend there. Introduced in a wonderful way and told that he is a journalist and writes here and there. Meanwhile, coming under the influence of Sham or Som, a litterateur sitting there questioned my writing in ‘Hans’ magazine and said, I write in that magazine also where gods and goddesses are insulted. Rahat Indori was so angry on this that he immediately left the party. People kept on celebrating. Those who listen to Rahat’s stories can get an idea of what his personality would have been like, but those who have met him can never forget Rahat Indori. Perhaps even Rahat, who wrote ‘Kinar Kehte Ho’ on his own, understood this. That’s why they write –

He does not stop here, further what he has written about himself can be verified. It is a different matter that here he has written himself as a slave, whereas with his friendly nature he used to become the master of every gathering.
