Thanh Hoa provincial authorities ordered a crackdown on unauthorized service brokers operating inside medical facilities. Under the new provincial mandate, health officials must intensify internal inspections across high-risk zones. These include hospital entrances, registration desks, emergency bays, and waiting areas.

The directive specifically instructs medical institutions to restrict unauthorized personnel from professional zones and prevent illicit solicitation. To combat pricing opacity, hospitals are now required to publicly list clinical procedures, service fees, and direct contact hotlines where patients can report brokerage activities, regulation-violating collections, or inconveniences.

Accountability measures target facility leadership directly. The People Committee chairman emphasized that those responsible for medical and treatment facilities will face consequences with superior management agencies and the law if violations occur within their management scope without preventive, discovery, and timely handling measures.

Institutional leaders must ensure that internal staff do not aid, connect, or actively participate in brokerage activities for financial gain.

Deploying Police and Upgrading Infrastructure

The provincial police department has deployed specialized units to investigate brokerage operations across reported medical hubs. Law enforcement officers are tasked with handling individuals who exploit patients through fraud, asset appropriation, coercion, intimidation, or collusion for profit.

Facilities are concurrently upgrading physical security infrastructure. They are installing closed-circuit television monitoring and deploying dedicated security personnel to deter predatory operators.
