Thailand Weather Forecast: Hot Days & Scattered Showers – March 22, 2024
Thailand is bracing for continued hot weather and potential thunderstorms as a low-pressure system continues to cover the upper regions of the country, according to the Thai Meteorological Department’s latest forecast issued Sunday.
The forecast predicts hot conditions during the day across much of Thailand, with scattered thunderstorms and gusty winds expected in some areas. The conditions are attributed to the influence of the low-pressure system combined with south and southeasterly winds prevailing over the region. Residents in the upper parts of Thailand are advised to grab precautions against the heat and be aware of potential hazards from thunderstorms.
Southern Thailand will experience less rainfall but will also see hot daytime temperatures. The Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea are expected to have waves of approximately one meter in height, potentially increasing to over one meter during thunderstorms. Mariners in these areas are advised to exercise caution and avoid navigating in areas with stormy weather.
Air quality is also a concern, with moderate to high levels of dust and haze reported in the North and Northeast regions due to limited air circulation.
