Tennessee Manhunt: Baby Discovery Leads to Family Massacre

Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Tennessee Family Killings

Tiptonville, TN – A nationwide manhunt is underway for Austin Drummond, 28, wanted in connection with the deaths of four members of the same family discovered in Lake County, tennessee on Tuesday, July 29th. the victims have been identified as Matthew Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15.

The case began with the discovery of the couple’s 7-month-old daughter,abandoned in a car seat in the courtyard of a Tigrett,Tennessee residence around 3:15 p.m. on July 29th. The infant was found exposed to full sunlight with temperatures reaching approximately 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 Fahrenheit). A witness promptly contacted emergency services, and the baby was transported to a local hospital.

Hours later, authorities located the bodies of Wilson, Williams, rose, and Braydon Williams approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) away in Tiptonville. the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has classified the deaths as homicides.

Drummond, who was out on bail for a prior aggravated flight charge – for which he previously served a 10-month prison sentence – is considered armed and hazardous. A combined reward of $17,500 is being offered for information leading to his arrest: $10,000 from the U.S. Marshals Service and $7,500 from the TBI.

Friends of the victims described Wilson and Williams as devoted parents. “Adrianna was the nicest, she loved being a mom.matthew was a great dad. He loved his baby. And Cortney loved her children,” a friend told WREG-TV.

Investigators believe the killings were targeted, though the connection between Drummond and the victims remains under investigation. As of Sunday, August 3rd, two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of aiding Drummond in his escape.
