Ten GLVC Men’s Soccer Players Earn D2CCA All-Region Recognition

INDIANAPOLIS – Ten⁢ Great Lakes Valley Conference ⁣(GLVC) menS‌ soccer ⁢players have been honored⁣ by ​teh Division II Conference ⁤Commissioners Association (D2CCA)⁢ with All-Region ​recognition, ​the institution announced today. The selections were⁢ based on ⁣nominations ‌and votes from the region’s‌ sports facts directors.

Four GLVC athletes ⁤earned First Team⁣ All-Region honors. Rockhurst ⁤University⁢ dominated the⁣ First Team with three selections: GLVC Defensive Player ‌of the Year Mattia Petricca, midfielder Kaden Cripe, and defender Asier Olano. Lincoln University’s Kevon Maitland,the GLVC Offensive Player of the ⁤Year,also secured a​ spot on the First Team.

Six additional GLVC players ⁢were named to the Second Team. Rockhurst was represented⁤ by forward Immanuel wayoro and defender Noah Brende. Rounding‌ out the Second Team selections were Lincoln defender Adam Griffiths, Maryville University ‍forward Sebastian Weitlaner, missouri S&T midfielder Joao Vieira, and Upper Iowa University midfielder Alejandro sanchez.

The 13 first Team All-Region ⁢selections are now eligible for ‌All-America consideration.

the D2CCA encourages and promotes Division II athletics⁤ and high standards of sportsmanship within higher education. The organization serves as a interaction hub for conferences, facilitating discussions on policies and regulations impacting Division II athletics and acting ​as a liaison to the NCAA.
