Meanwhile, the 2018 blockbuster in troubled waters, directed by Jon Turteltaub, continues to captivate audiences. Inspired by the success of the Jurassic Park franchise, this Sino-American co-production revived the prehistoric shark, the Megalodon, for a global cinema audience. Starring Jason Statham as a submarine pilot, the film, which leans towards action-comedy, was noted for its relatively low on-screen gore.
