March 25, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

FORT WORTH – TCU concluded its participation in the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at Colonial Country Club, finishing tied for 12th place at 47 over par (887). The tournament, hosted by the Horned Frogs, drew a highly competitive field including six of the nation’s top-10 teams.

Stanford captured the team title with a score of eight-over 848, repeating their championship from the previous year. Oregon finished second at 11-over 851, while Duke and Wake Forest tied for third at 19-over 859. Texas and Texas A&M rounded out the top five.

Kirstin Angosta led TCU with a tournament total of five-over 215, securing her third consecutive top-25 finish and fourth of the 2025-26 campaign. Angosta carded a one-under 69 in the final round, the lowest 18-hole score for any TCU golfer during the event. She finished tied for 17th overall.

The invitational showcased a number of the leading contenders for the upcoming NCAA championships, with nine teams in the top-25 of the latest Scoreboard rankings participating. The individual field included 14 top-50 world amateurs, according to TCU Athletics.

Kiara Romero of Oregon, the world amateur No. 1, claimed the individual medal with a five-under 205, winning by five strokes. Stanford contributed significantly to the top of the leaderboard, with multiple players among the tournament’s best.

Gracie McGovern and Camille Min-Gaultier both shot 76 in the third round, finishing tied for 46th and 59th respectively. Sofia Barroso Sá added to her career total of birdies, reaching 363, putting her 27 shy of the TCU career record. As a team, TCU recorded 26 birdies, the sixth-highest total of any competitor.

Tulane also competed in the invitational, finishing 13th at 70 over par (910). Francesca Pompa, Cristina Albertazzi, Gabriella Gilrowski, Sopia Chen, and Sophia Macias represented the Green Wave.

TCU will conclude its regular season with back-to-back tournaments in Dallas, beginning April 6-7 at the Veritex Bank Collegiate, hosted by SMU at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
