Tara Reid, 50, Hospitalized After Allegedly Being Drugged at Chicago Bar
CHICAGO, IL – Actress Tara Reid, 50, was hospitalized Saturday night after claiming she was drugged at a bar in Chicago, Illinois. The American Pie star is reportedly recovering and has stated she intends to pursue the matter with authorities.
Reid rose to fame in the late 1990s, notably for her role as vicky Lathum in the American Pie film series, and has since appeared in films like The Big Lebowski, Josie & The Pussycats, and the Sharknado movies. She has previously discussed personal health challenges, including a problematic liposuction-breast enhancement operation in 2004, telling interviewers, “I got lipo as even though I was skinny, I wanted – I’m not going to lie – a six-pack…it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing.” She has also publicly refuted rumors of eating disorders, stating, “I have no anorexia and never have,” and ”I’m terrified of throwing up, so that’s not gonna happen. And I love food too much.”
Details surrounding the alleged drugging remain scarce, but Reid has indicated she felt unwell after being at the bar and sought medical attention. She was subsequently hospitalized.
Beyond her film career, Reid has participated in reality television, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother UK in 2011 and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test in 2023. As of Sunday, November 24, 2024, Reid is reportedly resting and cooperating with any ongoing investigation. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
