According to Slaton, she sought multiple therapy sessions and underwent blood tests after a conversation with Dalton. These tests revealed that her existing medications were inducing a state of mania and depression, ultimately causing a mental breakdown. “It put me in a state of manic depression and just broke me down mentally,” Slaton stated on the show.
Five medications were discontinued entirely, and the dosages of remaining prescriptions were significantly reduced. Despite these adjustments, Slaton indicated she is still working towards regaining her emotional equilibrium.
