Kevin Parker, the mastermind behind Tame Impala, has unveiled a new track during a surprise DJ set at Barcelona’s Nitsa Club. The unreleased song, described as having a house sound, was played for the first time to an audience following Parker’s performance at Primavera sound festival.
Parker has been actively involved in collaborations and production work in recent years. he contributed to the Grammy-winning track ‘neverender’ by Justice, wiht whom he is scheduled to DJ on their upcoming Australian tour. Additionally, Parker played a meaningful role in Dua Lipa’s 2024 album, ‘Radical Optimism,’ recording parts of it at his Los Angeles home studio and co-producing the album.
The new Tame Impala track was introduced by Parker himself, who told the crowd, “Er, you guys wanna hear a new song? You want to hear a new Tame Impala song? You’re going to be the first ones to hear it, you realize. There’s no going back from this point on. Alright, let’s do it. Get pleasant.”

NME previously reviewed Tame Impala’s album ‘The Slow Rush,’ awarding it four stars and noting its “exhilarating listen” and the band’s willingness to explore new sonic territories. The review highlighted Parker’s pop sensibilities and the band’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries,stating,”This band aren’t rock music’s saviours; they’re so much more than that.”
