Talleres Hockey Damas B Secures Full Quarter-Final Qualification
All divisions in the Damas B line of Talleres field hockey secured playoff berths following the tenth round of the Campeonato phase in the Córdoba Hockey Federation, clubtalleres.com.ar reported. The club advanced multiple categories to the upcoming quarterfinals scheduled for mid-November.
Damas B Secures Full Playoff Qualification
The visiting Damas B squad delivered strong performances against Jockey de Villa María. The top-tier Primera division defeated Jockey 4 to 2, while the Reserva squad also won 4 to 1. In the youth divisions, the Sub 19 team claimed a 3 to 2 victory, and the Sub 14 side won 4 to 2. Only the Sub 16 division dropped its match, falling 1 to 0.
Following these results, every category in the Damas B line qualified for the quarterfinals. The Primera team will face Athletic «Negro» in the next knockout round. A victory in the upcoming semifinal stage would put the top squad one step away from its primary objective of securing promotion. The remaining youth and Reserva categories will compete for their respective category titles.
The Federation scheduled the Damas B quarterfinals for Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14. Exact times and final dates for each matchup will be confirmed after the conclusion of the final regular-season fixtures.
Damas D Closes Regular Season with Mixed Results
At home against Sporting Alta Gracia, the Talleres «Blanco» Damas D line experienced a more challenging round of competition. The Primera side lost 2 to 1, and the Reserva division fell 4 to 0. In the junior ranks, the Sub 19 team earned a narrow 1 to 0 victory, while the Sub 16 and Sub 14 squads both lost by 3 to 1 margins.
Despite the round ten losses against Sporting Alta Gracia, the Sub 14 and Sub 16 teams secured their places in the quarterfinals. The Sub 19 squad keeps its postseason hopes alive pending the final round of fixtures; to advance, the team must win its last match and hope direct rival Las Verdes ties or loses.
The Primera division faces a decisive, single-elimination match against Tablada «Azul» to determine retention in the category. Meanwhile, the Reserva division concluded its season after missing the playoff cut. The Damas D quarterfinals are scheduled for Sunday, November 15.
