The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release next month on May 12th and Nintendo has made some updates on its official game page. The game’s digital file size was reduced to about 16GB from its original size of around 18GB, making it no longer the “biggest” release on the system. However, it still requires around 15.9GB of free space and this may change before its release date. Despite this reduction, it is still larger in size than Link’s original Switch outing, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which comes in at 14.4GB. The game will also cost $69.99 USD, a $10 increase, but Nintendo assured fans that this price bump is only decided on a case-by-case basis. “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Performance & Resolution Preview”
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most anticipated games of the year. With its official first impressions now live, fans are eager to know more about the game’s performance and resolution. Nintendo has already shared select footage from the game, but a lot remains unknown. Fortunately, previews have revealed that the game runs at 30fps, with a resolution of 1600 x 900, in docked mode. While the game’s performance is consistent, there are some drops during more heated moments, according to Nintendo World Report. Additionally, according to Nintendo Life’s senior video producer, Alex Olney, performance is mostly “solid,” but there are occasional drops. While the game’s performance and resolution may not necessarily reflect the final version, fans can expect the same resolution as Breath of the Wild in handheld mode, running at a target frame rate of 30fps with a dynamic resolution of 720p. Keep an eye out for more details about the game’s performance and resolution when it is released publicly on May 12.
“A Sneak Peek into the Remodeling of Nintendo NY Store”
If Europe is not yet lucky enough to have its own Nintendo store, Japan and the United States are well served in terms of stores, each with their temple dedicated to the brand.
The Nintendo World Store, now renamed Nintendo NY, located in New York, is the most iconic store since it has long remained the only store dedicated to Nintendo in the world.
In 2018, we were able to go there and get our hands on some exclusive derivative objects. Today, the shop is under construction to rework its floor:
Nintendo NY Remodeling: What is the Store Working On?23/04/2023
Difficult in the immediate future to know what is hidden behind these large tarpaulins but it is likely that Nintendo is developing a new space, perhaps dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom which will be released in less than month and looks to be the biggest Nintendo Switch release of 2023.
The work should not last too long and the shop should return to its large space upstairs in a few days.
