Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen adn musician Cole M.G.N. wed in a private ceremony at New York City’s Chelsea hotel, exchanging personal vows before approximately 100 guests in the hotel’s Bard Room. The couple prioritized a relaxed and emotionally resonant atmosphere for their party.
jepsen wore a cream suit from Husbands in Paris,paired with Gucci shoes,with all accessories – including shirts,shoes,cufflinks,and boutonnieres – curated by stylist Hayley Atkin. The bridal party enjoyed creative freedom; bridesmaids chose dresses within a jewel-toned palette, while groomsmen selected their own suits.
The ceremony was officiated by Carly’s aunt and uncle. Reflecting on the moment, Jepsen shared, “Being present and at ease was key for both of us. We wanted it too feel romantic and full of emotion.” Despite anticipating tears, the couple described the energy as “light and joyful,” captivated by the setting – a backdrop of baby blue, wildflowers, and intimate lighting. “Walking down the aisle felt like a fever dream. Nothing will top the moment when we first locked eyes, and to be honest, for the first half of the ceremony we couldn’t see anyone else,” Jepsen recalled.
Following the vows, the newlyweds enjoyed a private moment orchestrated by their planner, Stefanie, taking time to connect outside the hotel. The reception’s cocktail hour featured a performance by Jepsen’s childhood friend Molly Ryan and her jazz trio.
As a unique guest favor,the couple incorporated their shared literary passions,using leonard Cohen’s The Book of Longing and Patti Smith’s Just Friends – the first book Jepsen gave to M.G.N. and a shared favorite, respectively - as escort cards, accompanied by custom bookmarks. The celebration culminated in a surprise a capella performance of Cohen’s “Chelsea Hotel #2” by Rufus Wainwright.
