Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the media center at the General Meteorological Authority, revealed details of the weather condition until the end of this week, as the country is witnessing stability in weather conditions and sunny weather over most parts of the Republic, pointing out that starting today a drop in temperatures in all parts of the Republic so that temperatures will return. to its normal rates.
Al-Qayati pointed out in exclusive statements to Youm7 that the reason for the stability is the presence of an air high in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which gives a sunny atmosphere throughout the Republic, with which the chances of rain disappear, to be light and unaffecting on the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, and may extend to Greater Cairo.
He pointed out that maritime traffic is moderate, allowing the practice of all maritime activities and works, and fog remains the influential weather phenomenon, and the country is expected to be affected by light to moderate rain on the coming Saturday and Sunday, the first days of winter.
Regarding the details of the winter weather of 2024, he indicated that the winter of 2024 is expected to be close to the winter of last year, as temperatures are expected to be around their normal levels, but it will be interspersed with some waves of drops in temperature, especially in the governorates of North Upper Egypt, where temperatures reach the point of frost. In addition to the high mountainous areas, temperatures drop below zero and snow forms on St. Catherine
He continued that from time to time, moderate and heavy rain falls on the northern coasts, which sometimes reaches Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, pointing out that during the winter of 2024 the country will continue to be affected by the El Nino phenomenon, which may lead to an increase in weather phenomena in the winter of 2024.
The Meteorological Authority expects tomorrow, Tuesday, to witness water mist in the morning, sometimes dense, on some agricultural and highway roads near bodies of water leading to and from areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
Tomorrow will also witness pleasant weather during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, moderate in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt, and cold at night in most parts.
Light rain is also expected tomorrow on areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, and wind activity in areas of Greater Cairo, the northeastern coasts and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.
