Nadezhda Yordanova is the candidate for Prime Minister of the project for a second-term government. This discussion is ongoing among the MPs of the party that will take it “Let’s continue the change”, it reads “24 hours“.

After the GERB-SDS proposal for a cabinet headed by Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski is rejected, the mandate will be handed over by Rumen Radev to a candidate for prime minister announced by the PP.

“Change” insists on forming a minority government in coalition only with “democratic Bulgaria”. Their decision was confirmed by a letter from the chairman of their parliamentary group, Andrey Gyurov, to all other political forces in parliament.

With the candidacy of Nadezhda Yordanova, respect for the junior coalition partner would first be shown, the deputies of “Let’s keep the change” motivate the option. Also, the DB was expected to be more communicative than PP leaders Kiril Petkov and Asen Vasilev and will manage to find wider support and the minority government will be elected. The two from the PP could be attacked for having already been unsuccessful candidates for prime minister. Petkov was ousted in the first successful no-confidence vote, and then forced by the BSP not to run for a new term. Asen Vasilev’s proposal did not garner the necessary support.

Nadezhda Yordanova is currently a deputy from the Democratic Party. You held the position of Minister of Justice in the cabinet of Kiril Petkov. The lawyer’s political career began as chief of staff to the current leader of the Democratic Party, Hristo Ivanov, while she was justice minister in Boyko Borisov’s second government.
