LOSโข ANGELES -โข Netflix today โsought to reassure subscribers following it’s announcement of a dealโข to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, including its film and โtelevisionโค studios, HBO โขMax and HBO. In a letterโ to subscribers,โค Netflix โคstated, “Nothing isโ changing today.Both streaming services will โขcontinue to operate separately.”
the โคacquisition unites Netflix’s existing libraryโค – featuring hits like โ Stranger Things, โขWednesday, Squid Game, Bridgerton and KPop Demon โHunters – with Warner Bros.’ iconic franchises including Harry โPotter, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Casablanca, โฃ and Game โof Thrones, and also โthe DC Universe. The deal,โ though, remains subject to regulatoryโข and shareholder approvals.
Netflix detailed in its letter that furtherโข updates will beโ provided as the acquisition process progresses. “We have more steps to complete before the deal is closedโฆ โฃYou’ll hear fromโ us when we have more to share,” the company stated. Subscribers were directed to Netflix’s help Center forโค additional information.
