Zelensky Urges Partner Training as Ukraine Claims Success in Disrupting Russian Oil Supply
Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated Sunday that Ukraine is prepared to assist its allies in defending against Russian aggression, especially following recent incidents involving potential airspace violations in Poland and Romania. In a video address, Zelenskyy warned that Russia is actively probing for vulnerabilities to expand the conflict beyond Ukraine’s borders, specifically targeting Poland, the Baltic states, and testing defenses in Romania.
“We are ready to train our partners in prevention,” Zelenskyy said, adding that while NATO possesses robust air defense systems, Ukraine has developed “substantially more cost-effective, massive and systematic solutions” to counter Russian threats.
The President’s remarks came after Ukraine claimed obligation for a successful drone attack on the kirisi oil refinery, located 110 kilometers southeast of St. Petersburg. zelenskyy argued that targeting Russia’s energy infrastructure – including oil refineries,terminals,and deposits – represents the most effective form of sanction,delivering swift and impactful consequences.

Adding another layer to the geopolitical pressure, former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly signaled his support for halting European imports of Russian oil, potentially even extending to attacks on the “Friendship” pipeline – a crucial artery for supplying oil to Hungary and Slovakia. According to reports, the Trump administration is considering linking new sanctions to the cessation of EU imports of Russian oil, and has reportedly encouraged both Brussels and Kyiv to take action against the pipeline.
