Bek Vietnam national team By Duy Manh menyindir Indonesian National team which has 10 naturalized players in the squad prepared for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers on March 21 and 26.
Do Duy Manh insinuated that the Indonesian National Team was a team from the Netherlands because it had many naturalized players for the match against Vietnam.
“Through information in the media, I know that Indonesia has up to 11 naturalized players [10 pemain]. “Currently Indonesia has many players who appear abroad and have good abilities,” said Do Duy Manh, quoted from the official website VFF.
“Actually, before that Indonesia was already a difficult team to play against. They played fiercely and aggressively. Now they are returning to naturalization en masse. Sometimes we tease each other, saying we don’t know whether we will play against a Dutch or Indonesian team,” said the Hanoi FC defender.
The number of naturalized players for the Indonesian National Team has increased since the last time they met Vietnam in the 2023 Asian Cup. A total of 10 naturalized players were included in the Indonesian National Team squad to play against Vietnam, with almost all of them being of Dutch descent. If you add Elkan Baggott, there are 11 hereditary players in the Garuda squad.
Not all of the naturalized Indonesian national team players have entered the squad to play Vietnam. Shayne Pattynama was not included in the squad due to injury, while Maarten Paes is still undergoing the naturalization process.
Do Duy Manh ensured that Vietnam was ready to face the Indonesian National Team which had many naturalized players.
“The Vietnam team also has quality players. We are not afraid to compete even though Indonesia has naturalized players. There is no fear in the players’ minds. As professional players, the team must have the best preparation,” said Do Duy Manh.
The Indonesian national team will host Vietnam at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, March 21, before visiting My Dinh Stadium on March 26.
