Jakarta – The Indonesian ministry of Foreign Affairs has fully transferred the examination into a recent incident to the Indonesian Police. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Roy Soemirat confirmed on Thursday (24/7/2025) that as the victim’s body was discovered on July 8, 2025, the ministry has provided CCTV footage as requested by law enforcement.
Soemirat emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will not offer interpretations of any investigation findings or related data, as this falls under the sole authority of the police. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has fully submitted the inspection process to the Indonesian Police, which is the only party authorized to handle this case,” he stated.
The ministry affirmed its commitment to continued cooperation and support for the police in their handling of the case. To date, the police have collected 20 CCTV recordings. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has and will continue to work together and provide support needed by the police in handling this case,” soemirat added.
