Czech hockey forward Ondřej Palát assisted on New Jersey’s only goal in a 1:4 loss on the ice of Edmonton. Defender Radko Gudas set up one of Anaheim’s goals in Sunday’s program. The Czech tough guy’s eighth point in the season did not help the Ducks win. The Ducks lost 2:4 in the home duel with Winnipeg.

Tomáš Hertl and Filip Zadina’s recordings did not lead to victory either. Their San Jose lost to Vegas with Jiří Patera in the goal 4:5 after separate raids.

In Edmonton, two teams with excellent form met each other. The Devils entered the match with three wins in a row, the Oilers even won six times in a row. Anaheim lost 11 of its last 12 games and fell to 14th in the Western Conference during the streak. “It’s bad. We lost a game that we should have won again. Even with the bad results in the last few games, we have to stay positive and we have to build on the good things. It has to turn around at some point,” Anaheim coach Greg Cronin said.

San Jose has won the last two games after big turnovers in the final minutes and has prepared a similar scenario for the duel against Vegas. The Sharks erased a two-goal deficit in the last four minutes and sent the game into overtime at 4-4. The goal was not scored in that, so the raids had to decide. In the shootout, the home Golden Knights were happier, winning for the third time in a row.

San Jose’s point was also helped by the Czech forwards Zadin and Hertl, who each assisted once. The Vegas victory was picked up by goalkeeper Patera.
