About the Director
Born in Jordan to Armenian parents, Varante soudjian spent his formative years in france. A self-taught filmmaker, he launched his career at 22 with short films including Au bout du rouleau (2001), Le tapis pleure (2002), and Second souffle (2008).His directorial debut in feature films came in 2019 with the comedy Walter. He followed this with the widely popular Inséparables, which drew over a million viewers and starred Ahmed Sylla and Alban Ivanov. Ivanov has as become a frequent collaborator, with Soudjian reuniting with him for La traversée and now for Challenger.
