Davis noted reports suggesting โthe shot originated โfromโข an adjacent building, indicatingโ a level of securityโ typically reservedโฃ for high-profile individuals โขlike presidents and foreign dignitaries.
New Hampshire state Rep. Valerieโ McDonnell, who spoke at a Turning Point conference โhosted by Kirk, expressed concern that the shooting was a deliberate act intended to silence conservative โvoices. “It’s hard to think of anyone who exercised their First Amendment and fought for โขeverybody’s First Amendment free speech than Charlie,” McDonnell said. “I mean, that’s just โขmeant to send aโ message to all โฃof us. They’re trying to silence theโ conservative movement and in Charlie’s name and in his honor, we canโ be silenced.”

Boston College professor Dr.David โHopkins, author of a book on theโข political divide in America, urged the shooting to serve as a turning point for democracy. “If there’s anything that can come of it,it’s a moment where people come together acrossโ the aisle and โฃsay in unisonโ that this is not part of what we โwant in โAmerica,” hopkins stated.
The Boston College Republicans released a statement acknowledging โKirk’s impact, saying, “Millions of young Americans connected with โand were inspired by Charlie Kirk. He was a father,โ husband, โขson, and champion ofโค free speech.”
