Kevinโฃ Woo, โthe singer, songwriter, and actor who lentโ his voice to the breakout success KPop Demon Hunters,โฃ has signed with UTA for worldwide representation in all areas. The move comes as Woo expands his career beyond his K-pop roots and into film and stage, capitalizing on the momentum of the Netflix animated phenomenon.
KPop Demon Hunters, which has garnered over โฃ315 million views and currently โฃranks as Netflix’s most-watched film of all time, propelled Woo’sโ vocal performance as Mystery Saja of the fictional group The Saja Boys into the โspotlight. The film follows Huntrix, a K-pop โขgirlโฃ group who secretly battle underworld monsters, and has sparked a โviral trend on TikTok with real-life K-pop โขgroups recreating The Saja Boys.
The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, featuring The Saja Boys’ tracks “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop,” reached the top 10โ of the Billboard 200 chart. โคDiscussions are โunderway between Netflix andโ Sony Animation regarding a potential sequel.UTAโ also represents Maggie Kang, the โคcreator and co-director of KPop Demon Hunters, and Rei Ami, the voice of Huntrix.
Woo first gained recognition as a โmember of โthe six-member K-pop group โU-Kiss,which debuted in South Korea in 2008. He later transitioned to musical theater, appearing in โthe original Broadway castโฃ of KPOP โฃin 2022.
