New โComic Mini-Series to โReimagine ‘phantom of the Opera‘
Los Angeles, CA – A chilling new take on a classic tale is on the horizon. Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, inโ partnership with Universal Products & Experiences, today announced Universal โขMonsters: The Phantom of the Opera, a four-issue limitedโ comic book series. The series will feature the creativeโฃ team of Tylerโค Boss (You’ll Do Bad Things) and Martin Simmonds (Universal Monsters: Dracula, Theโค Department of Truth).
Set within the iconic โคParis Opera House, the comic reimagines the story of the Phantom. โThe โคofficial synopsis details a narrative โขwhere a young soprano, โChristine, faces career turmoil amidst a โwave of violent โcrimes.As โsheโฃ prepares for a performance, โคChristine โฃuncovers unsettling truths and a mysterious connection to the โคenigmatic figure known as the Phantom. An โขold friend’s inquiry further complicates matters,โฃ revealing โขthat appearancesโข are deceiving.
“What separates the Phantom of the Opera from โthe otherโ Universal monsters is that it’s the only ghost story of the lot,” explained writerโฃ Tyler Boss. “With the Paris Opera โฃHouse as our โขhaunted site,โฃ and a production ofโฃ Faust aboutโ to be performed, I couldn’t โimagine a more perfectโ collaborator to breathe lifeโ intoโ theโ Phantom ofโ the Opera than Martinโข Simmonds.”
