The FBI arrested multiple โคU.S. โcitizens Friday, allegingโ they were plotting a violent attack inspired โby Islamic State group extremism.

The FBI acted swiftly after investigators allege the plan โwas inspired by Islamic State group extremism. The reference to Halloween prompted the โarrests, according to a person familiar with the examination, though it wasn’t promptly clear ifโค the โขgroup possessed the means to execute an attack.
FBIโ Director Christopher Patel announced the arrests on X, stating the bureau had “thwarted a potential terrorist attack.” โAuthorities saidโ Fridayโ there was no further threat to public safety.
