Several Swedish companies, including theโฃ publicly listed online marketplace CDON, have been found to have โคsold counterfeit Labubuโ collectible toys. The issue came to light following โa โreport โby SVT’s Lilla Aktuellt (Small โขNews).
A โDisappointing Purchase forโค a 12-Year-Old
Leija Pythinen, a 12-year-old shopper, purchased a โLabubu toy from CDON โfor SEK 499. Uponโ receiving the item, it was โdiscovered to be a fake.
“For me itโค doesn’t โฃmatter anyway, becauseโฃ you spend money โขon it. After all,โ I was sadโ forโ one, two โฃdays,”

Leija successfully returned the toy and received a refund after โdemonstrating โคitโ was not an authentic product.
Potential for Widespreadโข Issue
Christine Fransholm, a consumer advisor at Sweden’s consumerโค organization, โฃsuggests that many other customers โmay have unknowingly purchasedโข counterfeit Labubu toys and haven’t yet soughtโฃ a refund, representing a notable “dark figure” of unreported cases.
CDON โขand Isecrets Respond
CDON responded โto Lilla aktuellt by stating they operate solelyโค as a marketplace and directed responsibility to Isecrets, the vendor who supplied the product. Isecrets initially claimed to only sell genuine goods butโข later admitted โขto previously selling counterfeit copies.
