Jakarta – Toyota has achieved important sales figures at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition, recording over 4,250 Sales Purchase Orders (SPKs) within the first eight days of the event. This performance demonstrates continued consumer trust in the brand amidst a competitive market and an increased number of exhibition participants compared to previous years.
The exhibition, held at ICE BSD, tangerang, has seen Toyota’s sales remain stable year-on-year, a notable achievement given the heightened competition. Jap Ernando, Marketing director of PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), expressed gratitude for the public’s continued confidence in Toyota vehicles.
A key highlight of Toyota’s sales performance is the growing adoption of electrified vehicles. The electrification segment accounted for 34 percent of Toyota’s total sales at GIIAS 2025, marking a 7 percent increase from the previous year. This surge in interest underscores the market’s positive reception to Toyota’s diverse electrification strategy, which encompasses conventional engines, hybrids, electric vehicles, and hydrogen-powered options.
The Toyota Kijang Innova Zenix Hybrid emerged as the top seller, contributing 25 percent to the brand’s overall sales at the exhibition. While specific figures for other best-selling models were not disclosed, Toyota showcased a comprehensive lineup designed to cater to various consumer needs and preferences.
During the opening of GIIAS 2025, Toyota also unveiled two locally assembled electric vehicles: the BZ4X and the Urban Cruiser EV, which shares its platform with the Suzuki E Vitara. These introductions align with Toyota’s broader “multi-pathway” strategy aimed at advancing electrification across its product range.
