LARDEAUX, FRANCE – August 25, 2025 – Juliette Ferrand-Prรฉvot of Team FDJ-SUEZ secured a historic victory today, winning both Stage 9 and the overall title of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. The decisive move came with 6.6 kilometers remaining on the grueling climb to Le Lardeau, where Ferrand-Prรฉvot launched a solo attack that no one could match.
Throughout the majority of the 134-kilometer stage, originating from Saint-Sauveur, the general classification (GC) contenders maintained a collaborative pace, focused on improving their standings. Several riders aimed for a podium finish, but the race dynamics shifted dramatically onc the gap to stage leader Gigante exceeded three minutes.Vollering attempted an attack on the final ascent, but Ferrand-Prรฉvot’s subsequent surge proved insurmountable.
Ferrand-Prรฉvot swiftly established a ten-second lead by the 5.5km mark, extending her advantage over the chasing group. She ultimately crossed the finish line alone, cementing her triumph in both the stage and the overall classification. Her winning time for the stage was 3 hours, 48 minutes, and 12 seconds.
This victory adds another prestigious title to Ferrand-Prรฉvot’s already extraordinary career. She has previously achieved Olympic gold in mountain biking (Tokyo 2020), multiple UCI World Championships across various disciplines, and wins in road, mountain bike, gravel, and cyclocross racing. Notably, she transitioned her focus back to road cycling after a accomplished period dedicated to mountain biking, culminating in her Olympic win.
Earlier this year, Ferrand-Prรฉvot claimed victory at the Paris-Roubaix Femmes, a race considered a monumental achievement in women’s cycling. Her consistent performance and versatility have established her as a dominant force in the sport. The Tour de france Femmes win further solidifies her legacy as one of the greatest climbers and most well-rounded cyclists in women’s cycling history.
