Italian publisher If Edizioni will release a new installment of its long-running horror comic series, Oltretomba, in March 2026, alongside several other titles, the company announced this week.
Oltretomba Poker – Mostro nostrum will feature four horror stories: “La città dei mostri” (The City of Monsters), “Il segreto del labirinto” (The Secret of the Labyrinth), “Cuore di cane” (Heart of a Dog), and “Hydrophobie.” The 512-page volume, priced at €9.90, will also include contextual essays relating to the comics, according to a press release. The series, known for its blend of horror and erotic themes, has been a staple of Italian comics since its debut in 1971, as noted by Fumetti Etruschi.
Also slated for release in March is the 35th issue of I grandi enigmi di Martin Mystère Detective dell’Impossibile, featuring two new adventures of the detective character created by Alfredo Castelli. The issue will detail a plot by the Men in Black to instigate a third world war, and a story involving a scientist from MIT and a 3D photocopier with mysterious applications. The 208-page comic will be available for €8.50.
Toshokan, another publisher releasing titles in March, will offer Il miglior amico della sposa (The Bride’s Best Friend) by Mako Okahata. The 200-page manga, priced at €8.90, explores the complex relationship between a bride and her lifelong friend on her wedding day. Also from Toshokan is Great Trailers vol. 3 by Akira Miyagawa, a 168-page manga set in a post-disaster Japan, following a group rebuilding society and a genetically modified shapeshifter. It will also release Randagi – Vita da gatti vol. 2 (di 3) by Den Ishide, a 160-page manga exploring the lives of stray cats, priced at €8.90.
If Edizioni previously released a volume dedicated to zombies in 2024, with plans for future installments focusing on witches, ghosts, and demons, according to ForumCommunity. The publisher also offered limited-edition “Postertine” – oversized comic covers – as promotional items at the Lucca Comics convention in 2023, and is continuing the offer with new orders, as detailed on If Edizioni’s website.
