Omaha Mavericks men’s Basketball Energized for Summer Workouts, Aiming for Return to NCAA Tournament
OMAHA, Neb. – Fresh off their program’s inaugural NCAA Tournament appearance, the Omaha men’s basketball team has returned to the court for summer workouts.The atmosphere surrounding the program is one of palpable optimism,with Head Coach Chris Crutchfield emphasizing that the team is not resting on its recent accomplishments.
“We’re trying to get our energy level up, and thay’ve come in every single day and been excited about being here,” Crutchfield stated. The Mavericks have strategically reshaped their roster following several significant player departures.
Senior guard Tony Osburn expressed his strong connection to the program,noting that Omaha has become “hard to leave.” he shared his enduring passion for the sport, saying, “Since a little kid, I’ve loved basketball, and I’m getting to do it at the level I’ve always wanted to play, so its pretty hard not to be excited and bring joy every single day.”
