Pedro Pascal, Sigourney โฃWeaver to Star in โ”The Mandalorian and Grogu” Film
A new “Star Wars” film centering on Pedro Pascal’s โDin Djarin, the โMandalorian, and his ward Grogu โis โคslated โฃfor release on May 22, 2026. โAnnounced in January 2024,the film will continue the โขstoryโ established in the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” bringing the characters to the big screen.
The cast includes Sigourney Weaverโ as a fighter pilotโฃ and Jeremyโฃ Allen White asโข Rotta, the son of Jabba โthe Hutt, โalongside Jonny Coyneโ portraying an Imperial warlord. A recently released trailer showcases Mando andโ Grogu encountering these new characters โwhile battling robots and creatures, including a Rancor-like monster in โฃRotta’s arena and โan AT-AT. The film’s logline reveals the New Republic has enlisted the Mandalorian to help protect the galaxyโฃ from remaining Imperial forces.

“Theโข Mandalorian” series, set after the events of “Starโ Wars: return of the jedi,”โ follows โคa lone Mandalorian bounty hunter as he travels โฃtheโ galaxy, eventually forming aโ bond with Grogu, a Force-sensitive being โฃof the sameโ species โas Yoda. The series has incorporated characters and elements from across the “Star Wars” canon, โincluding cameos fromโ babu Frik and Zeb Orrelios in the โคfilm’s trailer.
