The latest reports revealed that the Moroccan star Ezzedine Onahithe French midfielder of Angers, is waiting for Napoli to make a new offer for his inclusion, as he has no intention of moving to Leeds United.

The 22-year-old Moroccan midfielder has been in form for Angers for a while, but he stood out in style at the World Cup in Qatar, where the Atlas Lions reached fourth place in a historic achievement.

It seems that Onahi is destined to leave Angers, which is nominated for relegation this month, and has attracted the attention of a number of clubs, including Napoli.

And the “Futbol Italia” network stated that Onahi’s favorite club is Napoli, and he has already agreed to personal terms with the club, and he will be happy with a five-year deal worth 1.8 million euros per season.

However, the South team is not willing to enter into a bidding war with Leeds United, and therefore will not reach the offer made by Leeds of 25 million euros.

Leicester City is also interested and Napoli are not keen on competing with clubs with more financial means.

Banned Napoli and Roma fans from away matches for two months

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

MILAN – Italian Interior Minister Matteo Biantidosi on Saturday ordered Roma and Napoli fans to be banned from attending away matches after clashes between them last Sunday that forced the authorities to temporarily close the country’s main highway.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the decision includes the closure of the stands for Naples and Roma fans in away matches, starting today, Saturday, due to the “seriousness of the violent incidents that occurred” and the “tangible risk of the possibility of repetition of these actions.”

The minister also decided to stop selling tickets for two months in the same matches to people residing in Naples and Rome.

There is a long history of animosity between the fans of the two teams, and the two sides clashed in and around the motorway service area in Tuscany, a pivotal route linking northern and southern Italy.

And a group of Naples fans threw stones and gas bombs from the side of the road towards the passing Roma fans, who stopped cars to respond in kind, and the clashes spread to the front of the service station before the police intervened to control security.

Biantidozzi stressed that bans from attending away matches “are not a substitute for individual action against the perpetrators.”

Pogba returns to Juventus training after recovering from injury

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com January 11, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

French midfielder Paul Pogba, who was absent from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to an injury following a knee operation he suffered in early September, has returned to Juventus for the first time since October, according to his club.

On Tuesday, the Bianconeri posted a photo and video of his training on their official website, and the 29-year-old was seen with the ball among his teammates.

Pogba, the 2018 world champion, underwent meniscus surgery in early September, then suffered a new injury which delayed his recovery.

Pogba, 29, has not played an official match since April 19, when he was with Manchester United.

He had hoped his departure from Manchester United last summer and return to Juventus would help revive his professional career, but was injured just before the start of the season during a friendly in July.

He decided early on not to have surgery, aiming to participate in the World Cup, in which his country reached the last match against Argentina, but eventually changed his mind.

Pogba could return to playing matches at the end of January, despite the sports newspaper La Gazzetta indicating Juventus’ willingness to be ready for the preliminary European League (Europa League) matches on 16 and 23 February against Nantes, in France.

The player played for Juventus in his first spell between 2012 and 2016, during which he won the Scudetto four times, before his second move to Manchester United.

At the end of December he responded to the fans’ criticisms of his departure in the mountains, when he was forced to do exhausting muscle-strengthening exercises and an individual race: “Patience is not knowing how to wait, but knowing how to keep a good mood while waiting.”
