TEL AVIV – Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel must block the path to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

“We are preparing for the period after Abu Mazen (Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas). We need the Palestinian Authority. We must not let it collapse, and we don’t want it to collapse,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying in a closed-door meeting with the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee .

“We are ready to help economically,” he said.

Referring to Palestinian hopes of establishing a sovereign state, Netanyahu reiterated their ambitions “must be eliminated”.

The prime minister’s remarks came in response to questions raised by members of the Israeli Knesset about Tel Aviv’s relationship with the Palestinian Authority.

His remarks also come as the Israeli government approves the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank.

Since entering office in January, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition has approved the promotion of more than 7,000 new Jewish settler housing units, as far away as the West Bank.

NEW YORK – China has requested Israel to stop encroaching on territory and resources Palestine as Tel Aviv continues to permit and approve the construction of illegal Jewish settlements in the Occupied Territories.

“Since the beginning of this year, Israel has continued to advance unilateral measures to agree to return, establish new settlements and legalize settlements,” China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geng Shuang, said while addressing the UN Security Council in the middle of this week.

Emphasizing that such construction and settlement activities violate international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2334, he expressed Beijing’s position to urge Israel to immediately stop these acts and stop encroaching on the lands and resources of the Palestinian people.

Shuang also emphasized that the historical status quo of religious shrines in Jerusalem must be respected and upheld. He said that Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir “caused new tensions” by storming the al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the second time this year and asserting Israel’s alleged ownership of the Islamic holy site.

“Regarding religious holy places, Israel must stop its provocations, guarantee the right of worship of Muslims, uphold peace and tranquility of religious holy places, and respect the custodianship of Jordan,” he stressed as quoted from Middle East MonitorSunday (28/5/2023).

Shuang also drew attention to the fact that tensions and clashes between the Israeli occupation and Palestinian Resistance groups have been recurring over the past few years, fully demonstrating that the long stalled peace process is not sustainable, that piecemeal crisis management will not last long, and a comprehensive solution and justice is irreplaceable.

He pointed to China’s increasing role in these issues, like others in the region, and possibly surpassing the United States as the mediating and hegemonic power.

GAZA ROUTE – Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad in Palestine, confirmed they fired two rockets into Israeli-occupied Jerusalem.

This recognition was revealed in a statement sent to the mass media on Friday (12/5/2023).

Al-Quds Brigades stated it was the first time they had fired rockets at an Israeli-occupied city, in response to Israel’s constant bombardment of Gaza.

“We are expanding our range of fire because of the continuous Israeli bombardment of Gaza, as well as in response to the Israeli assassination of resistance leaders,” said the Al-Quds Brigades statement.

While the Israeli army did not immediately comment, Israeli media confirmed the rocket launch and reported rocket sirens heard in the town of Beit Shemesh and elsewhere.

Israeli media also revealed explosions could be heard in Jerusalem, noting that they may have resulted from Israeli defense systems.

GAZA – Mosab Hassan Yousef, the name of this Palestinian man. He is the son of one of the founders Hamas Sheikh Hassan Yousef, but defected to become an agent Israel for a decade before his cover was finally blown.

Nicknamed the “Green Prince”, Yousef was born in Ramallah on May 5, 1978. He betrayed himself by serving as an agent for the Shin Bet—Israel’s internal security service—from 1997 to 2007.

For the Shin Bet, the “Green Prince” is the most valuable resource in Hamas’s leadership. Yousef diligently supplied the service with information, which prevented many suicide attacks and killings of Israeli citizens.

Information from his mouth also made the Shin Bet successful in dismantling many Hamas cells, and helping Israeli troops hunt down many Gaza militants. In fact, Yousef’s actions led to his own father’s imprisonment; Sheikh Hassan Yousef.

Not only total betrayal, the “Green Prince” also left Islam, alias an apostate.

In 1999, Yousef converted to Christianity. Then, in 2007 he moved to the United States. He applied for political asylum in Uncle Sam’s country, and his application was granted in 2010 after undergoing routine background checks.

After living comfortably in America, Yousef published his autobiography, “Son of Hamas“, in March 2010.

WEST BANK – About 400 Israeli Jewish settlers attacked Palestinians and their homes and properties in the West Bank city of Huwara, southern district of Nablus, on Sunday night (26/2/2023).

The settler raids have been called the worst outbreak of settler violence there in decades.

According to local news reports, around 30 Palestinian homes and cars were burned, one of which contained a Palestinian family.

Israeli authorities responding to the fire reportedly saved the family. Palestinians responded to the attack by throwing stones at the rioters.

Videos posted on social media showed columns of flames and smoke rising up in the sky. Israeli settlers halted their attacks during evening prayers, drawing criticism from Jews online for doing so.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a 37-year-old man was shot and killed by Israelis during the riots, and two other people were injured by gunshots.

Another Palestinian was treated for stab wounds, and a fifth was beaten with an iron rod. Another 350 people were also treated for tear gas inhalation.

The violence was widely condemned in the United States (US), France and the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem.

B’Tselem accused the Israeli government of encouraging the attack, which he called a “pogrom”. Pogroms are the term for the organized massacres of certain ethnic groups.

GAZA – Israel launched an air strike to Gaza Strip on Thursday (2/2/2023) morning. It was carried out in response to rocket attacks fired from the area Palestine .

Israeli airstrikes were retaliated by Palestinian fighters by firing rockets.

Emergency services reported no immediate casualties on either side.

According to local security sources and witnesses, the first round of Israeli airstrikes – at least seven – hit the training center of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas. Its center is in the al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Another round of airstrikes hit the al-Qassam Brigades training center southwest of Gaza City.

The Israeli army claimed its fighter jets had attacked a production site for the production, preservation and storage of raw chemicals along with weapons manufacturing sites belonging to Hamas.

The attack came in response to a rocket launch from the Gaza Strip towards Israel earlier on Wednesday.

After the attack, journalists and AFP witnesses saw new rounds of rockets being fired from Gaza, and new explosions could be heard from Gaza City at around 03:15 local time. New Arab.

The tensions came after cross-border rocket fire from the Gaza Strip last week in retaliation for Israel’s deadly attack in the occupied West Bank in Jenin that killed up to 10 Palestinians, and a shooting attack on an illegal Israeli settlement in annexed east Jerusalem on Friday that killed seven people.
