Today, Thursday, July 17th, marks the first anniversary of the death of artist Tamer Daihi. Daihi, who passed away on this day in 2024, was a notable figure in Egyptian drama, contributing over 50 diverse works across cinema, television, and theater. His career was characterized by sincerity and dedication to his craft and artistic principles.
Daihi transitioned from a career as a programmer to pursue his passion for acting,wich he cultivated from a young age. He began his artistic journey in theater at Ain Shams University and the Palaces of Culture, mentored by director Khaled Jalal. His television debut occurred in 2003 with the series “I and These and These,” starring alongside Mohamed Sobhi.
Known for his quiet distinction and the respect he garnered from colleagues, Daihi’s notable television roles include “Escape” (2012), “Al-Sayyad” (2014), “His Excellency,” “Earthquake,” and “Abu Al-Arousa.” His final roles were in the series “Strawberry,” starring Nilly Karim, which aired during Ramadan prior to his passing, and a series with aser Yassin that was released on a streaming platform.
