FRISCO, Texas – New renderings โand details released by Universal Destinations & Experiences are โขfueling excitement for the upcoming Universal Kidsโ Resort in Frisco, Texas. The 97-acre theme park, announced in January โค2023 and slated to open in โ2026, will feature seven uniquely themed worlds designed for familiesโข with young children.
Guests can look forward to immersiveโข experiences including DreamWorks’ Shrek‘s Swamp, DreamWorks’ โคPuss in Boots Del โMar, Illumination’s Minions vs.Minions: โBello Bay Club, Jurassic world Adventure Camp, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, โขNickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, and the Isle of Curiosity.
“It’s been very exciting; the excitement has been building,” said josh Dill,assistant executive director of Visitโฃ Frisco. he notedโ the enthusiasm among North Texans for having the โคfirst Universal theme โฃpark in Texas located in their region, adding, “And โIโ think โขthat’s intentional. This is an entertainment company, and they knowโข how to get us excited โfor this.”
Frisco is already a โpopular tourist destination, and Dill anticipates the Universal Kids Resortโค will โฃfurtherโ boost visitation.โ “pretty serious tourism here. Right now, Visit Friscoโ is buckingโ theโค trends regionally and nationally in tourism. We are havingโข strong tourism numbers. Lots of visitors, things like โthat. so we do expect this to addโฃ to that and keep โus a vibrant destination year-round,” he stated.
City officials predict the resort will attract millions of visitors and spur new business development in the area.
