LaLiga Secures โฌ5.25 Billionโ Domestic Broadcast Rights in New โDeals withโ Telefรณnica and โคDAZN
Madrid, โคSpain – LaLigaโ has โannounced a โคnew cycle of domestic broadcastโฃ agreements worth โฌ5.25 billion (US$5.74 billion)โค over five years with telefรณnica and DAZN,โฃ solidifying โคits position โฃas the โขthird-highest earning football leagueโข in termsโ ofโ broadcast revenue, trailing only theโข premier League and โthe Bundesliga.
The deals will see Telefรณnica and DAZN jointly broadcastโ five games per matchday. Telefรณnica, utilizing its Movistar pay-TV network, will relinquish exclusivity for three match weeks – a change from the current 2024/25 and next season’s arrangements.โค
LaLiga anticipates total domestic media revenues will reach โฌ6.14 billion โค(US$7.11 billion) โfor the nextโค five-year period once rights for LaLiga Segunda,highlights,and public venue โshowings โฃare sold,representing โคa nine percent increase over the current cycle.

Alongโ with the main broadcast agreements, โฃLaLiga has expanded its highlights distribution network with a โขnew multi-year deal with โขthe BBC. The agreement grants BBC Sport access to LaLiga highlight clips โfor publication on its website, app, and โขsocial channels on a weekly โฃbasis. Sky Sports, DAZN, and goalhanger’sโข The Rest is Football podcast โalso currently holdโ rights to LaLiga highlight clips,โค with โDAZN’s deal extending across multiple territories.
Theโ BBC’s partnership with LaLiga โฃfollows a recent agreement to broadcast non-exclusive โrights to one friday night Bundesliga game per matchday.
