Team Marketing Secures Deal to โManage Media Rights for Mexican National Teams, Expanding Global Footprint
Team Marketing has been appointed by the Mexican Footballโ Federation (FMF) to manage the โขglobal media rights for Mexico‘s men’s, women’s, adn youth national soccer teams. The partnership marks a meaningful expansion for Team beyond its โtraditional European focus.
Key details of the agreement include:
* A contract covering the 2026-2030 andโฃ 2030-2034 cycles.
*โค Team will provide โadvisory โservices on deal structuringโฃ and valuation.
* โฃ The rights sale process is scheduled to โbegin in Januaryโข 2026.
The deal is especially valuable givenโ the high internationalโข demandโข for Mexican national โฃteam broadcast โrights, especially โin the United States, which boasts a large Mexicanโข diasporaโค and frequently hosts matches. โขCurrently, commercial rights in the US are held separately by United Soccerโข Marketing,โ the commercial arm ofโข Major League Soccer (MLS), who โขrecently secured sponsorships with โBeatBox, โคCastrol, and DoorDash.
The FMF aims to maximize the value of โขits mediaโฃ assets โandโฃ cultivate โขlong-term appeal thruโข this partnership with Team.For Team, theโ agreement representsโฃ a strategic move to broaden its client base followingโข UEFA’s decision toโ awardโค its commercial rights to Relevent. Team recently added the six-a-side soccer competitionโค Baller League to itsโ portfolio earlier this year.
“This is โฃan remarkable prospect for Team to โsupport one of the most exciting footballโค markets in the world,” said โSimonโค Crouch, Chief โExecutive of Team. “Mexico’s ability to galvanise audiences,โค both domestically and abroad, presents aโ powerfulโ platform for growth. We’re proud โto have earned FMF’s trust and look forward to โคbuilding long-term โฃvalue for the Mexican national teams.”
Mikel Arriola, FMF commissioner, stated, “Theโค Mexico National Team is not only the most followed team in Mexico and theโ United States, but alsoโค a brand with extraordinary global potential. Thisโค partnership with Team represents aโ strategic step toward innovating how we engage with our fans,โ enhancing โour presenceโฃ in two unique markets, โand continuing to expand the national team’s reachโข and value on โthe globalโค stage.”
Looking Ahead:
Mexico will co-host the โข2026 FIFAโข World Cup alongside the United Statesโข and Canada.
